The CTC convenes, its members say yes
Artemisa, Havana, Cuba; In response to a call from the Cuban
Workers Federation (CTC) in the municipality and to support
food production, more than 700 affiliates from Artemisa, organized
by their unions will participate in productive work on a voluntary
basis every Sunday.
During the month
of February is required to support the planting of sweet potato
and other work at the end of this crop. It will be a task
of each Sunday with the exception of February 14, which will
be advance to Saturday 13, according to information received
from Duleivis Cuellar Rodriguez, Secretary of Municipal Committee
in Artemisa.
The leader endorsed
the positive the response from members and the enthusiasm
with which they assume every mobilization, taking as reference
those in the year that just ended. "Undoubtedly this
assistance plays a principle of Che as the thinker of volunteer
work and simultaneously reports a benefit for the people,
depending on the demands in terms of agricultural products.
It also becomes more motivated to maintain fraternal emulation
in the town between the unions, and therefore our organization
lies in fifth place at the provincial level.
The previous year
there were 674 tons more of food than those provided in the
plans of production in Artemisa and 95 hectares were planted
more than those agreed. Among other alternatives used for
this result highlight the response of workers to productive
work called for particularly in agriculture.
The potato harvest
and reforestation were two priorities where Artemisa members
joined volunteer hours with excellent results, assessment
of the maximum leader of the CTC in the town which now stated
that they will direct their efforts to short-cycle crops,
particular organic and so support the UJC in its efforts to
grow a forest on the outskirts Marti territory.
At the invitation
of the CTC are joined Agricultural Company workers who ensure
the transport and content of work for those who are mobilized.
The units of trade in the town support the snack and 25 professional
leaders in each union work in the stimulation and recognition
of the most prominent.
